About Maurice Gray

Maurice Gray, a native Texan, entered into the art world on July 9, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He began his formal art training at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls and in 1970 completed his BFA at Wichita State University, Kansas. Maurice continued his educational endeavors, completing his MA at the University of Dallas and his MFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1974. In 1974 Maurice left Denver for a teaching position at Edinboro State College, Pennsylvania. Nine months later he began his teaching career at California State University, Fullerton
in 1975.

Maurice has exhibited extensively throughout his career. Since 1967, Maurice has exhibited throughout the United States, Taiwan, Japan and the Balkans. Solo exhibitions throughout the United States include: Gail Harvey Gallery; Museum of Neon Art; Tyler Museum of Art; Cerritos College; Sue Greenwood Fine Art; Laguna Art Museum and the University of Dallas. His work is in several major collections including the Ghetty Trust, the David Tunkl Collection, the Museum of Taipei and the Cindy and Paul Levy Collection.

Maurice Gray is represented by Sue Greenwood Fine Art, Laguna Beach, California.
